About Brittany

My name is Brittany Argall and I am an 8th grade math teacher at Farmville Middle School in Farmville, North Carolina. Yes, Farmville like the Facebook game, and yes, there are a lot of farms. I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and hold a B.S. in Elementary Education K-6 from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a minor in exceptionalities and additional certification in 6-9 Mathematics. I had no intentions of ever teaching middle school, especially 8th grade, but when 8th grade math in North Carolina was offered to me, I jumped at the chance thinking I would leave after the first year to go back to elementary school. Long story short, I fell in love and can’t imagine teaching any other grade level. Some call me a glutton for punishment, but I just love the challenge.

I believe in critical thinking and real-world application of math. My students are held to high expectations and they are challenged to think outside of the box to problem solve and find the how and why behind the math to prepare them for life as productive citizens in the 21st Century world.
