Bio

Tara Spivey provides administrative and programmatic support to the Kenan Institute for Engineering, Technology & Science at NC State University. She is also the building liaison and supports the Kenan Fellows Program and other offices within the KIETS suite with basic technical/IT support.

Before joining NC State in June 2017, Ms. Spivey worked as the Processing Assistant for the Immunization Branch with the Department of Health and Human Services. Before her employment at DHHS, she worked at NC Agricultural & Technical State University for nine years. At NC A&T, she served in several positions: Executive Assistant to VC of Student Affairs, Student Services Coordinator for the Center for Distance Learning, and Accounting Technician for the Treasurer’s Office. She received her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from NC A&T State University and an executive graduate certificate in Information Technology from Strayer University.
