OPPORTUNITIES

NCABR is offering a FREE workshop on "Digital Media: Teaching the Science of Sustainability" at UNC-TV in Research Triangle Park, on Wednesday, April 16. Space is limited. Register now.

NCABR is also offering a FREE workshop on "Mapping Your Future: Careers in Biomanufacturing," a curriculum manual for middle & high school classes on April 23 at Biogen Idec.

NASA's Distance Learning Network is presenting a two-week series trough March 10 that gives K-12 educators and students the opportunity to learn how NASA and STEM play a role in sports.

The NC Museum of Natural Science is offering three free NASA Educator Treks. Register now

Beyond the Trail of Tears: A View from the Cherokee Homeland,” is a Summer Institute for K–12 teachers. The Institute is sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and hosted by the NC Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT). The three-week Institute will be in Cullowhee and surrounding locations from June 29 to July 19, 2014.

The Braitmayer Foundation is interested in proposals utilizing innovative practices in K-12 education and is offering a grant of up to $35,000.
