While I fully expected my time at the ASSIST Center as part of my Kenan Fellowship to be challenging, I was not fully ready for what I experienced! This week’s post will discuss some of the challenges I faced along the way as well as the success I ultimately encountered during my time at North Carolina State University. Perhaps the biggest challenge… Read more »
This week’s prompt asks the Kenan Fellows how we see our internship benefiting our mentor’s organization. And, because I need to do a lot of work on this exact topic prior to next Friday’s poster session, I have to say this week’s post will be considerably shorter than past posts. As a member of Team Nano, I feel it is pretty… Read more »
After having a great time while attending the Kenan professional advancement workshop at NCCAT last week, I was ready to return to my internship at the ASSIST Center and find out more of what is expected of us as well as learn more about sensor devices. This morning, I woke early, like I normally do on a workday. But, today is not the typical workday for me. For today, I was driving from Durham into Raleigh to start the internship portion of the Kenan Fellowship Program! What could I expect? What should I expect? This was a new thing for me and I had no real… Read more »

After hearing a little more about the program and gaining knowledge of the team, I am even more excited about taking part in the program. I am looking forward to this summer… Read more »
