Linda Dion is a National Board Certified teacher who taught high school science and AP Seminar for 11 years. She has a B.S. in Marketing Management with a minor in Business Leadership from Virginia Tech in 2012. She started her teaching career as a Teach For America corps member and was previously a campus campaign and funder compliance operations coordinator for Teach For America.
Linda was a 2017-18 Kenan Fellow and worked in Reade Roberts’ genetics lab at NC State. She served on the Kenan Fellow Program faculty and is currently working on the steering committee of the Morehead Planetarium’s Science for All Summit. Additionally, she was a secondary science consultant for the UNC Superfund Research Program.
Linda was Teacher of the Year for Holly Springs High School in 2018, NC Museum of Natural Sciences Educator of Excellence in 2018 and 2019, and an NC Energy Literacy Fellow in 2020. She joined the Kenan Fellows Program staff as the program coordinator in July of 2023 and continues to encourage curiosity with intention through her work with educators and their students.
