The Science of the Matter
Ms. Furr will collaborate with staff from the N.C. Science Festival including Jonathan Frederick and Lizza Igoe, UNC Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, and faculty from a variety of disciplines to create an innovative program that includes classroom resources to help students think critically and globally about the impact of new scientific discoveries.
She will create resources to help students weigh their perspectives and communicate their opinions on today’s most important science-related issues as well as enable other teachers to implement the program at their school through the creation of a comprehensive teacher guide.
