Amy Davis currently teaches 9-12 English at Wakefield High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a 1997 alumna of Meredith College as well as the North Carolina Teaching Fellows program. In 2003, she earned her National Board Certification in Adolescent/Young Adult English Language Arts as well as being named a recipient of the NC Musuem of Natural Sciences Educators of Excellence Award and the Fullbright Memorial Fund Teacher Exchange Program. Her project is entitled Integrating Science and Literature: Alcohol’s Effects on Health and Humankind, and she will be working with Drs. Walter Bollenbacher, Marianne Meeker, and Amber Vogel from UNC Chapel Hill.
