Understanding the Flow of Energy
Ms. Aguilar will spend a portion of the summer working with Julia Allsbrook of the Halifax Electric Membership Corp to learn how the EMC builds and develops its energy infrastructure to meet the region’s demands.
She will also partner with Christina Wells of the Lake Gaston Regional Chamber of Commerce to learn how tourism will impact the region in the future. She will then translate her experience into a dynamic curriculum that will prepare students to contribute to the region’s future growth in terms of infrastructure and economic development.
