Mary Ella Jackson

Mary Ella Jackson will experience aviation and aerospace careers through field trips and job shadowing as she works with experts at ECSU. These collaborations will involve a project with the Civil Air Patrol, Port Discovery, Hands-on Science Center, Aviation Career Education Academy Program and local aviation industries. ECSU’s Aviation Science Program, the only one of its kind in the state of North Carolina, seeks to become a model aviation education program for others in the state and nation. The program is designed to prepare students for the rigorous employment demands of the highly competitive aviation and aerospace industries. This program will be a significant provider of aviation and aerospace-educated employees and entrepreneurs – not only for the local area of Elizabeth City and Pasquotank County, but for the State of North Carolina.
