Vance Kite

Project Name:

Project Based Learning in North Carolina Health and Life Sciences

The North Carolina New Schools Project (NCNSP) works to accelerate systemic, sustainable innovation in secondary schools across the state so that, in time, every North Carolina high school prepares each student for college, careers and life in the 21st century. Kenan Fellow Vance Kite will create units of study aligned with one of the four affinity network themes. Drawing on his summer externship research experience, he will create and implement relevant, innovative projects for his classroom to be shared through the STEM Affinity Network’s online platform and with other educators at NCNSP Project Based Learning conferences. Mr. Kite will join Kenan NCNSP Fellows from across the state in presenting a session at the NCNSP Summer Institute in 2013.
