Dr. Koci is an associate professor of poultry science at NC State University. His laboratory works to understand the immune mechanisms which allow an animal to recognize, respond, eliminate, and develop resistance to pathogens. He has a B. S. in Biology from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA; an M.S. in Infectious Diseases and a Ph.D. in Pathology from the University of Georgia, Athens, GA.
