ONE FELLOWSHIP AVAILABLE
Dr. Jeff Yoder’s lab at NC State is interested in comparative immunology with an emphasis on understanding how immune systems recognize and destroy invading pathogens while leaving their own cells unscathed. Although their research spans all vertebrate lineages, they employ zebrafish, rodents and human cells as models for discovery. Current research is focused on how genetic diversity and exposure to environmental chemicals impact immune function. The selected Fellow will have an immersive experience in Dr. Yoder’s lab, which may include working with zebrafish and human cell lines, and will learn more about the research being done at the Genetics and Genomics Academy at N.C. State University.
