Thirty-one Class of 2010 Kenan Fellows will begin their first Summer Institute on June 23, 2008. Six weeks will be spent in intensive staff development and with their university and corporate mentors.
The Fellows will meet daily at the McKimmon Center at NC State University for two weeks and will spend the remaining four weeks in research labs and working with their mentors to begin developing curriculum. The curriculum will relate these real-world experiences to the teachers’ classrooms in K-12 public schools.
