Kenan Fellow is a Treasure Trove!
As a Students Discover Kenan Fellow, I am looking forward to our summer research program with at the NC Natural Science Museum in Raleigh, NC. The Symbiosis in the Soil Project is going to allow both my students and myself to view ourselves as “citizen scientists”. This experience is already broadening my horizons as a teacher, as a professional, as a scientist, and more. Kenan is a wonderful opportunity to meet educators, scientists, and administrators from around the state that I would not be able to meet otherwise.
I am learning about real-life applications to the 7th grade curriculum, new technology, and how to incorporate those ideas into my classroom on a daily basis.
I look forward to being able to share my research and to becoming a more dynamic teacher.
