I will integrate the knowledge and skills learned during my internship into my sciences classes and after school theater.

Many of the concepts of nanotechnology and wearable devices align with the curriculum of biology, chemistry, and physics.  In my biology classes, we will explore wearable devices as part of the biotechnology unit.  Chemistry classes will focus on the thermochemistry involved in energy harvesting devices.  Physics classes will analyze the sensors used in wearable devices; specifically gyroscopes, accelorometers, and  light meters.  All classes will use the knowledge gained in class to produce a wearable device concept using TI sensor tags for data.

The arduino programming will be used in technical theater in the after-school theater department.  It will teach students to incorporate LEDs and fiber optics into costuming, props, and sets.  Students will design, build, and program smart set pieces, props, and costumes.  I want to blend STEM into theater arts.
