The week at NCCAT was a wonderful experience.  It was great to be treated as a professional and be spoiled for a week.  I met some awesome educators that I cannot wait to work with again.

I plan to incorporate problem-solving skills and social media into my classes.  I created my professional Twitter this week and am loving the tweets by other Kenan Fellows.

I did not have a least favorite session.  We were allowed the freedom to choose which sessions we wanted to attend and this allowed me to attend the sessions most relevant to my classroom.

The PD at NCCAT was the best PD I have ever attended.  Many sessions were offered that allowed input for the participates.  We were not expected to sit and listen, but to participate in our PD.  I really like EdCamp and hope to incorporate it into my school’s PD.

The EdCamp session was the most useful.  I think it is very important to include the teachers in planning PD.  Many times we are told what we are going to learn about for PD instead of learning what PD would be most useful in our classrooms.

I am looking forward to our next PD in Raleigh in late July.  It will be great to spend time with the other Fellows again.
