Professional Development

The Professional Advancement Institutes provided information that is not normally shared with educators.  I appreciate the incorporation of education policy and the ability to meet with legislators.  It provided a much better idea of how education policy is created and implemented.  I know that I would like to be more involved wit education policy in the future to ensure teachers are heard.  The ability to work with colleagues about innovative ways to teach content.

I found our first Professional Advancement Institute the most helpful.  The week at NCCAT allowed us to focus on education and not be distracted by everyday tasks.  We were able to grow as educators and share ideas to continue to improve.  I really enjoyed our mini-Ed Camp.  It is really neat to create our own professional development and choose what we want to learn.

The professional development provided by the Kenan Fellows Program is the best professional development I have ever received.  The only professional development that compares is the PLTW content development I received through Duke University.

I appreciate the ability to focus on the needs of our students and the use of technology and creativity to best serve our students.
