  1. SCIENCE NOTEBOOK:
    1. Students will investigate the following question: How does the upright sail affect a vehicle’s motion?
    2. Write a prediction to the research question.
  2. Review instructions for investigation on pages 44-45 of the student book.
  3. Review suggestion points on page 110 of the teacher’s guide.
  4. SCIENCE NOTEBOOK:
    1. Students glue in their procedure handouts.
    2. Students record data using the same data table on page 111 of the teacher’s guide.
    3. Students write their conclusions (based on the data) in their notebooks.
  5. Each group shares their findings with the class.
  6. Group Discusses Findings
  7. SCIENCE NOTEBOOK: Students complete the LOL in their notebooks using group data from sharing.
