To our Kenan Fellows Community,
We would like to extend our thoughts and well wishes to everyone as we all grapple with the multiple impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The Kenan Fellows Program for Teacher Leadership is committed to supporting its Fellows, alumni, mentors, and partners and we would like to do our part to contribute to the safety of the community. As an initiative of the Kenan Institute for Engineering, Technology & Science at NC State, we are adhering to the Coronavirus Response guidelines set by the university and have taken the following steps to continue our work and support our network during this time of uncertainty.
2020-21 Fellowships
As you are aware, we are in the process of interviewing finalists for our 2020-21 fellowship year. To comply with social distancing recommendations, all of our upcoming in-person interviews have been moved to an online platform. If you are an applicant, mentor, funder or alumnus, you will be contacted with details on how to participate in your scheduled interview. Please contact, Randy Pinion at rppinion@ncsu.edu, should you have questions or need help joining virtual meetings. All applicants will be notified of their status by email in the coming weeks.
Celebration of 2019-20 Kenan Fellows & Partners
Earlier this month, we invited our 2019-20 Kenan Fellows and partners to a celebration on April 24 at the Stateview Hotel on NC State’s Centennial Campus. The celebration brings together the graduating cohort of current Fellows with their mentors, sponsors, administrators, and loved ones to recognize the hard work of the educators and the meaningful partnerships created throughout the fellowship year. During these uncertain times, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the celebration until August 2020. We will send an updated invitation once a new date has been secured.
Resources for Distance Education
With school systems closed statewide through at least the end of March, we have pulled together a list of resources to help educators, parents, students, and community members. You can find the resources here.
