STEMwork Sprint is an innovative project-based learning online course that supports K-12 educators in establishing and sustaining education/industry partnerships with local STEM employers.
Project-Based Learning Online STEM Course
The Kenan Fellows Program for Teacher Leadership developed STEMwork to address the need to build connections between education and industry to guide K-12 students to viable regional career pathways and fuel economic engines with local talent. STEMwork also offers a hybrid option, which includes in-person and online components. STEMwork Sprint is fully online and gives teachers a practical framework for seamlessly integrating industry partnerships into their classrooms through project-based learning.
The STEMwork Sprint project-based learning online course features eight asynchronous interactive modules on project-based instructional design and local business partnerships. Modules include videos and infographics. STEMwork Sprint is offered through N.C. State University’s Reporter platform. Participants can finish the self-directed course in five months and complete the course within an online learning community.

What is the time commitment?
- Dedicate 5 hours each month on average to complete 8 modules from January to May.
